SAUVEREIGN’s WISHBONE and YUBARI wood handles are sculptural ornaments that can be adorned upon the house’s APHRODITE collection. Their form and material are inspired by the iconic Wishbone chair created by Danish furniture designer Hans J. Wegner in 1949 as well as the luxurious Yubari King Melon, native to Hokkaido, Japan.
Swiss Precision & Engineering
Combining artistic vision with exceptional carpentry, the house’s wood handle collection consist of two unconventional designs. The WISHBONE handle is cut from one solid piece of aged Spanish olive wood slab, prized for its hardness, colour, contrasting streaks and fine texture. The YUBARI handle is made from Swiss platanus wood, cut from an aged slab of plane tree, chosen for its distinctive intricate ray flecks which give it a freckled or lace-like appearance. Artisanally handcrafted in Val-de-Travers, Switzerland, each piece is one-of-akind with a total limited edition of 33 worldwide.
