ZOHIKO 2 Box & Charm
SAUVEREIGN’s ZOHIKO Box and Charm collections are limited-edition handcrafted collectibles, available both individually and as a set. Coated in lacquer unique and exclusive to the maison, the objects are hand-polished to a high gloss and translucent glaze as if made from enamel.
Each object features different hand-painted artworks comprising traditional Japanese motifs. Decorated with yellow and white gold leaf, gold powder, and natural mother-of-pearl, each drawing is representative of a meaningful and personal blessing.
SAUVEREIGN’s ZOHIKO Charms are skillfully painted on both sides of their convex-forms. With a different symbol for fortune on each side, the charms are reminiscent of Omamori – a traditional Japanese amulet believed to provide luck and protection. Every ZOHIKO Charm is paired with a two-tone, perforated leather charm, cut, stitched, and edge-dyed by hand in France.
ZOHIKO 4 Be Brave Keepsake Box
The ZOHIKO 4 Be Brave Keepsake box presents a revitalised emphasis on maki-e, which is the traditional Japanese handcraft technique of painting with lacquer, with gold powder strategically sprinkled on top. The depicted composition itself comprises a mix of iconic SAUVEREIGN motifs with artworks cherry-picked from ZOHIKO’s archive, reinterpreted in a graffiti-like aesthetic. Besides the gold powder, its resplendence is also elevated by the artisanal use of mother-of-pearl on curated areas of the pattern. Throughout the ZOHIKO collection, each creation is also coated with a protective lacquer proprietary to SAUVEREIGN that creates a shiny, enamel-like surface.
